Include These Privacy Laws On Your Website

Having a privacy policy on your website is required by law in most countries. Privacy policies need to define how a business (website owner) collects, stores, protects and uses personal information provided by users. Many third-party services (like Facebook advertising) require you have a valid privacy policy in place in order to comply with their terms of service. This normally comes as a surprise to many of my clients. Even if you are running a personal blog it’s best to include a privacy policy just to protect yourself. Here is what you need to know California Consumer Privacy Act…

Instagram Disabled My Account-No 5

It’s been 4 weeks today that Instagram locked me out of my account. This has been a stressful process and you have no control over anything and no contact to try and help… but I do have some different news today  As soon as my account was restored I immediately downloaded my content so if this ever happens again I know I have the pictures of my children backed-up. This is the best part about it. It’s memories like the photo below that I want to keep. (She clearly hurt her finger) What to do if your Instagram Account is…

Instagram Disabled My Account-No 4

My Instagram account is still disabled. Finally talked with Facebook Chat but they were no help and it’s been 2 weeks today. I’ve been connecting with other business owners who lost access around the same time so I really believe it’s a huge glitch but they haven’t resolved it yet. Apparently, they were too worried about everyone losing their “likes” this week. 3 Things I Learned Being Blocked: 1. Even if you are following the rules you can be disabled- have a backup plan. 2. Download your content monthly- once they shut your account down you can’t get it back.…

Instagram Disabled My Account-No 3

I had no many of you were invested in this Instagram drama. I’m sorry I didn’t provide an update yesterday…but there was nothing to update I’m still locked out but today apparently it’s because I impersonated someone? This is definitely not the case I’m going to try and use Facebook Chat to see if one of their specialists may be able to help me. I will keep you posted You can watch my previous videos here: Video 1: https://www.postroadmarketing.com/blog/Instagram-part1 Video 2: https://www.postroadmarketing.com/blog/instagram-part2

Instagram Disabled My Account-No 2

If you saw my video on Friday you know that I woke up and discovered that Instagram disabled my account and I have no idea why.  The message is that I have violated their terms of service, but I’ve read through them, and I definitely haven’t. I’ve never had one report that any content or comment was flagged or reported.  I spent the weekend doing research on this, and it turns out that this has been happening to A LOT of people. I think the statistic was that 85% of the accounts never violated any of the terms. It…

Instagram Disabled My Account-No 1

On February 19, 2021, I woke up to discover that my Instagram account had been disabled.  It’s weird because I had only been posting once a week (besides stories) and I’ve never had a comment or post flagged. The message on my account says that it’s been disabled for breaking their terms of service -which I’m quite certain I have not done.  This solidifies the importance of having an email list. I will keep up you updated along my journey to getting my account back. I’ve read instances where is can take hours- months to recover (one person waiting 8 months).
